Spring
It's been a sunny couple of days in Cardiff, a respite from the icy cold winter we've seen thus far. I've made a habit of sitting out in the sun every morning, perched with a coffee on the broken bench we have in our backyard. The daffodils and lilies I planted with Doug— my landlord—a few months ago have started to bloom. They've shown up in all shapes and sizes; some yellow, some blue, and some that are beige and red. We've even attracted a bunch of bees, jumping from flower to flower, collecting nectar for the honey they're eventually going to make.
When I was planting the bulbs with Doug, I told him I hoped I'd still be here to enjoy the fruits of my labour. And boy, I'm delighted that I am.
